Business and Management

Throughout history, the Dutch have been known for their commercial spirit. For example in the so called 'Golden Age', when Dutch traders travelled around the world to buy spices in countries such as India and China, and sell them on. Ofcourse the Netherlands is also known for the export of cheese and flowers. Furthermore, we trade in wood, vegetables and fruit.

business and management is trade of flowers on auction

In short: trading is in our blood. But how does it work behind the scenes? How can you make sure that flowers cross the border without insects or harmful diseases? How do you get a quantity of roses across the globe as fast as possible, so that they look like freshly cut roses when they are put in a vase? Or, how can you import a quantity of ready-to-eat mango's at a low price during the holiday season?
