Final Phase Food Innovation Management
Bachelor of Food Technology
Content programme
First year
The first semester mixes practical and study-related skills with a range of professional and theoretical subjects. To provide a real-life setting for testing your competencies, the second semester involves an external work placement in the food industry. This gives you a taste not only of typical duties and activities, but of the practical and social skills that are essential to your chosen profession as well.

Second year
The third semester focuses on product development, and takes you through each stage in the creation of a food product. Involving key subjects such as product analysis, food chemistry, food microbiology, marketing, and sensory physical analysis, this process blends theory with practical skills.
The fourth semester is devoted to your final external project: the thesis. Because this period includes another placement at a food production company, a typical thesis is likely to cover an innovation process in the food industry. The function of this semester is to provide you not only with conclusive proof that you are up to the real job, but also ready for continuing your study at university level.
