Our environmentally oriented courses are well known, which gives you an advantage in trade and industry. You know how to deal with water issues from different perspectives and you can suggest sustainable solutions. You are able to communicate effectively in the water sector.
Perhaps you will be employed as a researcher, policy maker or consultant with a 'waterschap' (water board), a research or consultancy agency. Your knowledge also allows you to work abroad on water solutions in the field of technology, quality or management.

"In Sustainable Water Technology, nature takes an important place. This is the study I wanted to do, since I think that humankind has an obligation to look after nature. That is why I gladly go to university every day! Studying at Van Hall Larenstein is a great experience for me. There is a great deal of collaboration between the various majors. Van Hall Larenstein also has many connections with other universities and colleges, and that is why there are many international modules available. My future career will be with an organisation for water management. I find the relation between water and nature to be a very interesting one and I would love to put into practice. There is always a possibility that during a work placement you will land yourself a job abroad. With this bachelor the world is your oyster. Everybody, all over the world, needs water, that is why you can find a job anywhere."
