Equine Talent Squad

For students who aim for the top in equestrian sport, the Equine Talent Squad was founded. With professional guidance you will be crammed for the highest level, while we help you to combine this with everyday student life.

The Equine Talent Squad's goal is to support young, talented riders, who study for a Bachelor at VHL in Wageningen. To practice equine sport at a high level and to study are both demanding and time-consuming activities. With the Talent Squad, we offer extra possibilities to steer both your studentcareer as well as your career as a rider in the right direction. With dedication and support.

What students can expect:

  • Sponsored clothing
  • Training by topcoaches on a regular basis
  • Mental training and individual coaching
  • Workshops and lectures by experts in various fields within equine sport

To be admitted to the Equine Talent Squad, you should at least be riding at the Dutch Z or German M level, or have the experience, in case you are training a young horse at the moment. You are supposed to bring your own horse to the trainings. If you need stabling for your horse, you can check out this list of stables that provide lodging for horses.

The selection of new candidates for the Equine Talent Squad takes place around the Christmas holidays every year. When the time has come, posters will be put up in the school buildings. If you would like to take part in the selection procedure, you are asked to hand in a CV of accomplished competitions and a recent video of yourself while riding.

Dr. Inga Wolframm is the captain of the Equine Talent Squad. For more information, please contact her.
