Students present thesis in Dublin
Two students of Van Hall-Larenstein University, Olga Braat (23) and Pepijn Ott (32), have been invited to present their thesis at the International Equitation Science Conference. This yearly conference takes place in Dublin from 2-4 August.
Olga Braat (23) is enthusiastic: "I was thrilled when I received the message that I'll be presenting my project in Dublin. I look forward to it, but it's a bit scary as well!" For her thesis Olga conducted a research into the effects of equine-assisted group activities on the behaviour of childring with learning disorders. "This is a relatively new area, in which there is much room left for research."
Pepijn Ott (32) is also looking forward to the conference, where he will be holding a presentation about his thesis on the effects of psychological training for riders. "I think it's an honour that I'll be able to present my work. Moreover, there will be a very large horse event taking place in Dublin, which makes it an extra festive occasion. And apart from the fun such an event brings, it's also an opportunity to meet many people from your area of expertise."
